Name: Kaidlen Shan Age: 46 How I learned about this site: Fluffy Sailor Moon Cosplayers group on Facebook Contact info:(Facebook, E-mail,Instagram)
Name: Mane Birthday: I'm not sure. I wasn't born on Earth. He's about 20 Earth years old. Eyes: sea green Hair: brown and grey Height: tall? Likes: Slinkies, climbing trees, ice cream Dislikes: dogs, deep water, tripping over his own toes. Strong Points: is a good hand to hand fighter Has Trouble With: slinkies, understanding Earth humans sometimes. Being a klutz. Dream: To eventually have a family of his own, and to live in a tree house. In-depth Character Personality: A study in contradictions, Mane is an interesting Mau. When one first meets him, they see him as an immature, and very playful person. He is almost childish and a total goofball, in the way he behaves when at leisure. However, there is more to Mane.
When it comes to his duty, Mane serious, and more than willing to do what he has to do. He's a strong hand to hand fighter, in both feline and human forms. He is also fierce and will not back down when he has taken a stand. He is willing to die to protect his charge, or his loved ones.
Like Earthen felines, Mane is curious. Oddly enough, in contrast to his goofball image when off-duty, and his hardcore persona when on duty, Mane loves to learn. He enjoys seeing new places, and meeting new people. When it comes to new experiences, he reacts with a childlike amazement and wonder. He is also clumsy, and is capable of tripping over nothing in either form.

Mission: To find the long missing Princess of Mau, on the orders of Prince Eros. And then to protect her once she is found.
Mane was a young kitten when he was chosen for training as a Royal Guard of Mau. Unknown to him, he had been watched from shortly after his eyes opened, and Mane started playing with his littermates. He was a two month old kitten when he left home for his training. The first week, he was distraught (at least at bedtime), as Mane missed his mother, and his sisters. However, during the day, the lessons that he found himself immersed in kept him distracted.
His early years of training, Mane was given an education. He learned to read, write, do math, use a computer, taught the history of both the Kingdom of Mau and the Moon Kingdom. He was given lessons in the arts and the sciences. Mane excelled at all of it. He loved learning, and pushing the envelope (whatever that is) of what he was being taught. While he and his classmates were given a thorough education, they were also encouraged towards physical play. When at play, Mane was a total goofball. Then, one day, he was given a gift from his sister, an Earth toy known as a Slinky.
Mane went ballistic with the Slinky. He would play with it for hours, trying to figure out what all he could do with it. More often than not, at least in the early days after he first got it, it was not unusual to find Mane tangled up in his Slinky. He had to be rescued on several occasions from the plastic coils that had wrapped around his body. And when he managed to avoid getting all tangled up in the Slinky, Mane got his toy all tangled up into coiled knots. When this happened, he would work diligently, and carefully to free each coil.
As he grew older, and got bigger, Mane's education expanded. He was given lessons in tactics and strategy. He was also taught how to fight, learning Mau martial arts, both in feline and in human forms. He astonished his combat instructors, because when Mane first started training, he would trip over air. His toes would catch on invisible holes in the floor, and send him sprawling. And it did not matter which form he was in, either. It was hoped that he would become graceful as he got older, progressed in his training, and reached full growth. His instructors are still waiting for it to happen. It looks like they're going to be waiting a long time, too.
Excelling in his studies, in spite of his being a klutz, Mane was one of the few selected for advanced training. Training of the kind that was given to those who were designated as Royal Bodyguards and Guardian Companions. He was awarded metal tipping to his claws, making them effective weapons in either his feline or human forms. His instructors were eventually expecting great things out of Mane, until he was sent to Earth to search for the missing Princess of Mau.
A brown and grey cat knelt in front of the throne, the crescent moon on his forehead resting on his paws. Mane had been summoned by the Prince, and so he waited for His Highness to acknowledge him.
"Rise, Mane, and shift to your human form." He was bade, so Mane allowed himself to shift. When he was in his human form, he knelt down on one knee, his tail tip lazily twitching. The Prince continued.
"Please stand and listen. The Wise Ones have detected a presence that they believe could be the missing Princess of Mau. They are insisting that someone go and investigate, to try and determine if it is indeed her. As this is something of importance, it is an assignment that cannot be just left to anyone. Since you are, at this point in time, an unknown within the Royal Court of Mau, it has been decided for you to go to Earth, and the capital of the new New Moon Kingdom. Do you have any questions, Mane?"
Mane tilted his head, even as his thoughts raced.
"Why me, Sire?" He asked Prince Eros. "Why not a guard with more experience? Or one who is familiar with where I am being sent?"
"There isn't anyone who knows the place where you are being sent. Those that do know this place are already there. Their names are Luna and Artemis." Eros answered. "As for why you, because out of all of the up and coming Royal Guards, you have proven yourself to be the best. If our Princess is being hunted, those looking for her might try to use a known guard to draw her out. All you lack is experience, which you will get on this mission."
Mane gave a slight bow towards Prince Eros, satisfied with the answers he had been given.
"Thank you, Sire, for the trust that you are putting in me for finding our lost Princess. I will do my best to find her, and protect her once she is found." Mane declared.
"I know you will." Eros smiled. "I requested your commanding officer to pack your things. There is a transport getting ready to head to Earth within the hour, so you need to be going. Report to me, as you can, with what you discover."
I will Sire." Giving yet another bow, Mane turned away, knowing that he had been dismissed.
Once he had departed the Throne Room, Mane broke into a job, going to double check his room. He was not worried about clothes or the day to day things to accomplish his assignment. However, there were a couple of personal items that he wanted to take, that Mane knew very well would have been left out of his luggage. He finally entered his room and spotted his Slinky. There was no way he was going to leave it behind. He popped his hand through the coils, wearing the spring toy like a bracelet.
Mane was heading out the door, when he heard footsteps approaching. The Captain of his training unit rounded the corner, and then smiled.
"There you are. Come on, we have to hurry. Your ship leaves in forty-five minutes. That is barely going to be enough time to get you to the spaceport and on it." The Captain gently admonished Mane.
"I know. But I wanted to make sure nothing got left." Mane responded, stepping out of his room, and closing the door.
The trip to the spaceport was quiet. Before Mane could really think about it, he was being rushed inside and to his ship. The Captain turned him over to one of the ship's attendants, who guided him to a private room. Mane looked around, and realized that he had been tucked away within the small suite intended for VIP passengers. Unless he really wanted to, Mane would not have to deal with anyone else on the journey.
He went over to the plush seat by the porthole, and strapped in. He then turned his attention towards the port, and watched as liftoff was achieved. Mane was on his way to a new adventure, and a new duty.
