In-depth Character Personality:
Zoisite's personality is complicated. On the one hand is a vain, boisterous young man who was eager to serve his king and fight for his kingdom, even at the cost of challenging the Moon Kingdom. A young man who was eager to show his worth fighting the Sailor Scouts and lacked in patience. That energy is still there to some extent but time and tragedy have lessened it.
The cruel, mocking tendencies of his last life have been reigned in but he is still fond of teasing his friends and companions. Though this is somewhat subdued around the Sailor Scouts, Zoisite is known for a biting wit that can sometimes seem a bit catty. It's in these moments when his playful side comes to bare that he seems the most like his old self.
This new life has left him slightly jaded. While still sarcastic and a bit vain, he has a tendency to go off on his own for quiet reflection. It is during these times that he internally berates himself for his past failures and mistakes and imagines the ways that he will strive to make it up for them. These periods have grown in frequency since the disappearance of the royals.

Mission: To find what has happened to his king and bring him home and to prevent whatever happened to him from striking his daughter.
Long ago Zoisite, along with his fellow guardians stood by the side of Prince Endymion. They were his loyal advisers and protectors, and Zoisite was dedicated to his position as Commander of the European Division of Earth. But all that changed as the four began to grow suspicious of the Moon Kingdom.
Concerned for his Prince and his people Zoisite was perfect fodder for Queen Beryl's plans. He had hopped to protect the Earth from the Moon's influence but too his horror his Prince was killed in the fighting. His own death was not long in coming.
In his next life he was caught up in Beryl's plans. Having no memories of his past life, he and his fellow Shitennou became the loyal generals of the evil queen, helping her to exact her vengeance upon the Sailor Scouts and looking for the Silver Crystal. As the Scouts began to defeat the others Zoisite impatiently awaited his turn.
When at last he was given the chance to prove himself against the “enemy” he disguised himself as a human woman named Professor Izono and claimed that the Silver Crystal could give eternal youth to whoever possessed it. He hypnotized the viewers into chasing after the stone, pulling energy from them through the TV sets themselves. He was defeated by the Sailor Scouts much to his fury.
He was given a second chance, this time he attacked Sailor Moon directly. He hypnotized the humans of Tokyo through videos they rented and ordered them to find Sailor Moon and her crystal. When the Sailor Scouts confronted him he was actually able to grab Sailor Moon but before he could harm her Sailor Venus destroyed him and he met death once more.
Now memories returned of his past and he was able, through the stone that he had become, to advise his prince and help not only in the destruction of Metalia, but throughout his coming struggles.
For years he remained a stone, safe in the possession of his prince. As Crystal Tokyo became a glorious kingdom the four men were reborn yet again. This time Zoisite remembers who he is and all that he has done. This sometimes makes him uncomfortable around the Sailor Scouts who he remembers hurting and he is embarrassed by how easily he was convinced to hate them. This life, however, he knows that he must not permit himself to be drawn into the traps of the past.
All was going well until the King and Queen disappeared. Zoisite remembers his horror at the Prince's death long ago and this disappearance has left him almost hysterical, although he does his best to hide it. Any hint, no matter how small, is enough to send him running in search of his leader. Though he is aware that this attitude is how he got into trouble in the first place, his fear for his King is overwhelming. After all Zoisite has never been known to do anything half way. His current fear has also translated to a desire to protect Endymion's daughter. If he has anything to say about it, she will not meet the same fate as her father, in this life or any other.
The marble hallways echoed dully to the tread of his feet as he paced before the locked doors of Royal Bedchamber. It had been too long since anyone had cleaned up in there, the place was probably covered in a film of dust, musty and stagnant, just like the atmosphere of the rest of the court. Logically he knew that it had not been long enough since the King and his Queen had disappeared for decay to set in, and of course the room had been cleaned the very day before their disappearance by the ever diligent serving staff, but it felt stagnant to him, and that was the point really.
While no one was being permitted to disturb the room, for fear of destroying evidence, there was not much to see other then an unmade bed and the signs of every day use of the room. He should know, he had been in there at least a dozen times since the disappearance and he had seen nothing. The last time Kunzite had banished him from the room when his frustration had bubbled to the surface in the form of explicit language and a kicked over stool. That was why he was pacing as pointedly as possible out here in the hallway while the others did whatever it was they were doing. He hated not knowing.
In an effort to keep from banging on the door, demanding entry or answers, he turned his thoughts elsewhere. The little princess was doubtless even more frustrated then he was, and more afraid. Her parents had been taken from her and he hated to see how much was being shoved onto her shoulders during a time when she most likely wished to simply be left alone with her feelings. She was all he had left of his King, once again he had failed at his duty and he wasn't even sure this time how or why! Loosing the battle with his frustration he slid to the ground in front of the door to the bedchamber and knocked against it with the back of his head. Maybe if he pretended to be properly penitent when they came to see what he wanted he would be allowed back in.
