A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, a princess was born on the planet Uranus. The name given to her was Sora. She was gifted with many things upon her birth, but the most important one was the gift from Queen Serenity of the Moon- Miranda Castle. Miranda Castle which was to be Sora's home and eventual base of operations. The second most important gift was the Space Sword, the talisman of Uranus.
As she grew older, Sora learned that she had a destiny- she was Sailor Uranus, one of the Outer Senshi that would guard the Silver Millennium, and the stellar system that it called home. When she first learned that she would be Sailor Uranus, Sora was thrilled to be one of the legendary Sailor Senshi. She took to her training like a baby duck takes to water, and was a natural at it.
Training was an interesting time for Sora. The ones she mainly learned with were her Knights. However, there was one other Senshi that was in training with Sora- Sailor Neptune. To Sora, Sailor Neptune was everything that she was not- feminine, elegant, beautiful. Sora was very much the odd Senshi out- she was masculine, rough and tumble. Most people encountering her figured Sora as a boy, until they saw her either in her fuku or in her formal court wear. Then they acted surprised and shocked that she was the Princess of Uranus, and not one of the Knights.
Sora fell head over heels in love with Sailor Neptune. She did her best to spend all of her free time with the Princess of Neptune, when they were not training. And even better, Sora learned that her affections were returned, and in the same manner.
Finally, Sora was finished training, and was permitted to take up her post at Miranda Castle, and her duties as Sailor Uranus. Her Knights were also sent out with her, to take up their various duties as well. At first, taking up her duties and keeping watch on the borders of the stellar system was just fine. However, as the years went on, Sora became lonely. While she had her Knights for occasional companionship, she really missed Sailor Neptune.
During one of her tours of the various satellites that orbited her planet, Sora was visiting the moon named Puck. As she walked along, she and her escort encountered a fight. They broke up the fight, and when they had done so, Sora spotted a sigil on one of the fighters. He started giving her a hard time about coming with her, not really believing what he was being told, until Sora kicked his ass and handed it to him. With that, the Knight of Puck quickly became one of her favorite companions.
Things started to change when Princess Lua of Saturn started to awaken to her own destiny as Sailor Saturn. Sailor Uranus and her various Knights were off fighting to stop the invaders from attacking the Silver Millennium and those governments that made it up. They were successful, as far as Sora knew, in staving off the invasion. However, the incursion had not been stopped soon enough. Too many had died from Sailor Saturn's brief awakening, including Lua's father.
Not long after that, Sailor Uranus was paid a visit at Miranda Castle by Queen Serenity. She was asked to bring forth her talisman, which was imbued with a special power. The Space Sword was turned into a key, that when combined with Sailor Neptune's Deep Aqua Mirror, and Sailor Pluto's Garnet Orb, would call forth Sailor Saturn, awakening the Senshi of Destruction. Sora was amazed when a fourth talisman was created, a box gifted to the Knight of Pandora. It was quickly explained that Pandora's Box had a different purpose from the other three talismans- they were designed to summon Sailor Saturn. Pandora's Box was designed to keep Sailor Saturn sleeping until she was summoned by the other three talismans.
As time went by, Sora grew tired of her duty. While she occasionally had her Knights for companionship, she was lonely. She missed Sailor Neptune, whom she had fallen in love with. She chaffed in her solitude, and wanted to be free. It would have been one thing, if she had more companionship, or got to see more combat. Then came the day when she finally got her wish.
Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and their Knights were busy fighting youma along the edges of the stellar system. What none of them knew, was the youma along the edges of the system were diversions to keep Uranus, Neptune and their Knights distracted and away from the main invasion force. Unknown to them, the main force had infiltrated a while back, and had subverted four of the Celestial Knights, (the ones who were sworn bodyguards, and companions to Prince Endymion of Earth) and an Earthen sorceress named Beryl.
By the time that they all realized that they had been duped, it was too late. Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, and the Inner Senshi were all dead. Most the Knights had died, or were slowly dying. Queen Serenity had used the Ginzuishou to defeat Beryl and the entity that she had been working for, sealing them and those with them, away. However, the Queen was not certain how well the sealing would work, nor how long it would last. There was only one way to try and make certain that the dark forces would, hopefully, stay sealed. And that was to call Sailor Saturn forth.

Tenou Haruka was born on the 27th of January. Her father was a mechanic for a race car crew that toured the international racing circuit. Her mother was a concert pianist. While they both tried to love their daughter, they did not really understand her either. So while their daughter was young, they remained in Japan.
Haruka enjoyed helping her father to work on cars, and loved to watch them race. She learned how to play piano from her mother, and developed a love of music from her. As she got older, Haruka was offered a scholarship and a sponsorship to Mugen Academy. Her parents, delighted with the offer, sent Haruka off, boarding her there. They were then off to Europe, leaving her behind.
Left alone, Haruka had the vague sensation that she had been in a similar situation, but could not recall when. So, she threw herself into playing piano, and into racing, both on foot and in a car. Still, that was not enough. Haruka felt trapped, and longed to be free. Then she met Michiru.
Meeting Michiru was the game changer. Haruka was working on her car, when a pretty girl with aqua colored hair came up, watching. The girl left a moment later. Shortly after the girl had left, a daimon attacked Haruka. With only her tools, and without powers, Haruka did her best to fight the daimon. However, Sailor Neptune arrived, and destroyed the daimon, saving Haruka. Once the battle was over, Neptune held out a transformation wand, and explained just what it was. Haruka was told that she did not have to take the wand, that she could walk away from it, and her destiny. She was also told that if she accepted it, that there would be no turning back. Haruka took the wand, and called out the phrase "Uranus Planet Power, Make Up!" for the first time, and transformed into Sailor Uranus.

After the battles with Sailor Galaxia and the Animamates, in which Sailor Uranus (along with the other senshi) died, Haruka was returned to life thanks to Usagi. After apologizing profusely, Ruka went to the recently discovered Miranda Castle, in order to get it back into order, and to inspect her planet and it's satellites. While she hated the idea of going back into what she essentially saw as exile, Uranus knew that she and Neptune needed to take their posts of guarding the edges of the steller system from external invaders up again. The whole crisis with Shadow Galactica brought that home to her. At least Michiru would be available to keep her company, and they would be able to visit the other senshi on a regular basis.
When the Knights started to be found, Haruka hoped that her favorite Knight, Puck, would be one of those who would be reincarnated. Not that she did not miss her other Knights, she did. She just missed Puck more.
Returning to her duty along the edges of the stellar system was not as hard to do, as it had been in the past. Neo-Queen Serenity was very fond of her Senshi, and insisted on regular visits from Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. She also insisted on them taking regular vacations, in order to just be themselves. With such breaks in place, it was easier for Haruka to return to her duties, guarding against invaders, especially since Michiru would be able to keep her company.
"WORLD SHAKING!" came the cry, even as the ball of energy slammed into the enemy. Sailor Uranus arrived, more than ready to fight. With a snarl, she leaped at her target, slamming into them.
"Nobody fucks with my daughter." Uranus growled, even as she swung a punch at another attacker. "And you sure as hell do not mess with my princess."
Uranus picked up one of the attackers, and lifting it over her head, slammed it head first into the pavement.
"Alright Sailor Moon, whenever you're ready...." She called out.

Haruka quietly slipped out of bed, and tiptoed into the bathroom. Carefully closing the door behind herself, (she did not want to wake Michiru) she got dressed, wincing at the bruises from the battle that took place last night. Once dressed, Ruka exited through the other door, the one that led into the living room of the suite she shared with Michiru within the Crystal Palace. Stealthily, she made her way to the door that exited the suite. Quietly closing the door behind herself, Ruka punched upwards in quiet victory.
The Senshi of the Sky made her way down to the Palace kitchens, the domain of Makoto and the various chefs that she felt worthy of cooking for the Royal family. Ruka had a standing arrangement with the Senshi of Thunder to make use of the kitchens to make a special breakfast for Michiru's birthday. Normally, she was not one for cooking, however, when it came to her girlfriend, there was not much that Haruka would not do. Working swiftly under Makoto's sharp eyes, Ruka fixed the omelet that she had bought the ingredients for the day before. Coffee was prepared, orange juice poured, and a single red rose in a sea blue vase were placed on a tray. The omelet was added to a warmed plate, before it was covered with a lid. The dishes she had used had been loaded into the dishwasher, and it was running.
Ruka flashed Makoto a smile, and was given a nod of approval. Fist bumps were exchanged, before Haruka picked up the tray. Then she was off to surprise her girlfriend with breakfast in bed for her birthday.
